The relationship between the power consumption and crushing pressure when crusher is rotating becomes one of the subjects researched by experts.

The resistance on big and small swifts of crusher comes from the resistance on swift by ores. Generally speaking, the larger the pressure on ores is, the larger the counter force of ores on swift will be. Thus the power consumption of crusher will increase.

Breakdown pressure has obvious pressure on power consumption. Tests showed that the productivity of fine granularity is small and power consumption is higher when the rotate speed of small swift in crushing equipment is less than 231r/min under low pressure. When the pressure is high, the generated fine granularity will protect the ungrinded coarse grain product and the energy consumption will be higher. When the rotating speed of small swift is 162r/min, the energy consumption will obviously increase. It shows that the impact function of crusher has direct effects on energy consumption.

Consequently, crushing machine should work under low pressure from the perspective of energy consumption. However, it may cause that the discharging granularity will become coarse and uneven under the low pressure state. Hence crushing equipment should work under medium pressure according to factors such as energy consumption and granularity. Only by common efforts can energy saving and high efficient road become brighter and brighter.
